The current paintings of Gumilar, the cycle Macchie, reflect his new interest. The painter focused on the organism, the structural body processes, which cannot be seen with the naked eye. In such a context, it is not surprising that the artist's work is reminiscent of a microscopic view, where the focus lies on the body. Therefore, the allusion of the cell as a fundamental and functional unit of life is appropriate since the cells – similar to the constellations of Gumilar's work – function as open systems. They represent an active place where the substances incessantly change. But the color stains do not imitate the cell anatomy, the live tissue or anything that maintains a constant shape, but are mimetic in a different way. It appears that the circular shapes materialize the laws of nature and organizational principles - microsystems that keep us alive, where the chaos seems to be in order, where there is consistency in the difference.

Černelč's images 2008-2009 are inspired by a camera shot. We rather interpret them as starting points of the view than ˝realistic˝ images. The structure of the view is inverted, the photographed canvas tells us a story. The movement of the hand, of the photographer, and the one from the painter suggest the painting to represent some kind of a ˝blurry˝ monster or just the art of painting as such. The time seems to stand still and to be lost in a moment that hardly exists. Nevertheless, the painter determined some events, which we barely notice in real life.

The graphics of Vesna Drnovšek represent an innocent moment and enable us to experience real happiness in the neurotic world, where we are treated as objects rather than subjects. It is not a coincidence that her prints remind us of images painted on the wall, since they metaphorically reflect a wall or the inside of a wall. Only in this world it is possible that certain – seemingly unimportant things like a dandelion or a swing – turn into a solemn arabesque. After observing those images, the spectator is more certain that real peacefulness of the human spirit really exists. Nevertheless, the graphics also suggest that each person is responsible for his own peace and happiness.

The Gallery Murska Sobota presents a memorial exhibition to honour Ladislav Danč (1932-1979). Danč belongs to the second generation of academically educated artists from the region Prekmurje. In 1970, Danč, Štefan Hauko, Franc Mesarič, Lojze Logar established the group DHLM, which introduced modern art to this region. Although his premature death, Danč created an opus which contained classical realistic work, expressionistic and abstract work. Above all, he was an excellent drawer, his drawings were constantly present in the newspaper Vestnik, numerous comic books and short stories.

The exhibition shows only a part of his work. Besides paintings and graphic work, the spectators can observe some documentary material such as photos, sketchbooks, graphic matrices, which reflect the artist's creative years.
